[Mix] NAP DNB presents NAPCast 241 - RinTin

Welcome junglists young and old to this week's edition of the NAPCast.  I'll be stepping in this week as it would be uncool to ask RinTin to review his own mix.  But before we get to that, a big congrats go out to our pal Aseity for cracking the top 100 on the Beatport Breaks charts this week with the old school flavor of his "Bring It Back" release on Raveskool Recordings.  This local multi-genre producer has his head down and is cranking out tunes at a breakneck pace.  Check him out.

Also want to give shouts to our pal B.A. Barrawkus who's in town this week to catch up with friends and family.  It's always good to see him well and it was good to throw him a little party with bass, brews and brownies.

One more note before we get into the mix...we've got Rudy Kizer, Hugh Jeffner and Cory James all playing jungle & drum & bass a week from tomorrow on February 12.  If you want to find out what these guys are really made of, you won't want to miss this.  I know for a fact these three are all true junglists at heart and it's going to be a treat seeing them cut loose with some funky beats for that ass.

Getting to business, this mix comes to you from our pal and new blog writer himself, RinTin.  Of all the drum & bass DJs I've met and worked with here in Indiana I'd have to say we're the most alike style-wise.  Maybe we had the same influences or perhaps found similar gateways into drum & bass, but it's always a treat for me to step in for him when he gets behind the decks.  Having said all of that, this mix caught me off guard as it was not what I expected.  Usually bringing some high energy and vocals to the party, RinTin instead brings a deeper, more complex vibe with NAPCast 241.  Definitely a great way to get your week started off right.
