Happy Monday and good morning to you all! I will be stepping in for RinTin today as it felt like a conflict of interest being asked to review your own mix. As it stands, my writing isn't all that great, but I will do my best for the week. I was glad to give RinTin the week off as it's been great to have him writing blog posts for us every week going forward. While we are sad to see Courtney go, we are excited to get RinTin into the action, passing him the blog writing torch. Along with writing, RinTin has also been more involved locally as a DJ. We've had him several times to the Melody Inn in addition to seeing him play for IndyMojo's Altered Thurzdaze and other nights. This mix is a good reflection of why his stock is rising.
This mix gives us a look into both the darker and lighter side to what RinTin brings to the (turn)table. Regardless of whether you like dark meat or light meat this Thanksgiving, you will find what you're looking for here. Deep, driving basslines and techy drums alongside melodic synths and mellow vocals, this mix moves around enough to keep you anywhere but in one place.
Speaking of not staying in one place, we've got a great show tomorrow evening at the Melody Inn as we welcome back a tenured member of the Indianapolis Drum & Bass community, Jahba, for a set you don't want to miss. In addition, we'll have the musical stylings of Jin-XS, Andrew Garrison, Ceebz, Antik One, FluxKapacitor, and more for the low cost of 2 bucks.
