Who here remembers that awesome pop super start Rebecca Black? The internet sensation with such bangers as “Thanksgiving” and the most FIRE chuuune, “Friday”?! Yeah, I figured you couldn’t forget that ungodly torment. Clearly neither have I. The point is, I think what the world needs more than ever right now would be another one of those motivational anthems to carry us through the haggard year that has been 2016. And no other time calls for a motivational song than Mondays. Since I’m no good at writing lyrics or using any sort of production software, I’m left to depend on what I have at my disposal. Good thing I have friends.

Knotice is back once again (with the ill behavior) and delivers a mix FILLED with motivation for our Monday! It’s got everything you could possibly need: chunky bass lines, zoomie sounds (this is literally the best description that I can come up with), Jungle riddims…’s PACKED! While still leaning on the liquidy-er side of things as a general theme in the mix, it’s what keep this whole thing up and keeps it building along as Knotice plays through some more intelligent beats. He might say other wise, but I thought this mix reflected a wide range of Knotice’s tastes within the genre. While liquid feels like his pocket, when he plays some of the spacey neuro and techstep stuff, you get a good feeling for the rabbit hole’s he’s been down while digging. Listening to this bad boy twice now on Sunday night has me AMPED to tackle the dreaded work day awaiting me (and most of us). With the power of Drum and Bass WE CAN DO IT!!
